1927: Mid-Continent Aircraft Co, Tulsa OK. 1928: Reorganized as Spartan Aircraft Co. 1928: Spartan School of Aeronautics established. 1945: Production switched from airplanes to house trailers. 1968: Spartan interests sold to Automation Industries Inc. 1972: Company purchased by National Systems Corp. 1994: Spartan School still active.

7W-F 1938 = 2p armed version for military acceptance tests, later converted back to 7W. Two guns mounted in the nose and one in an open station aft; wing racks for ten 25# bombs. POP: 1 [X17605=42-68361] c/n 10.
